General Music
General Music is offered to all students at St. Hilary School. Each class (preschool-8th) meets with Ms. Lamorena twice a week.

Goals
-
To work together to help each student become the best learner he/she can be
-
To build a positive, lifelong relationship with music
-
To learn through engaging activities and a variety of methods (visual, aural, kinesthetic, projects, group work, etc.)
-
To master the music standards as defined by the Archdiocese of Chicago and Common Core

Pedagogy and Techniques
St. Hilary students have many different learning opportunities and experiences whether they stem from the Kodaly, Orff, or ensemble based pedagogies.
We focus on music literacy and learning through experience.
Additional activities include: BrainDance, improvisation, composition, games, projects, usage of iPads and computer lab, etc.
